How often should I get my teeth professionally cleaned?

- Comorbidities that can affect the health of your teeth, gums, and mouth, for instance, a diagnosis of diabetes, kidney disease, lupus, heart disease, and Sjogren’s syndrome, and other conditions that cause dry mouth

- Use of certain medications that cause conditions like dry mouth
- Advanced age
- Behaviors such as chronic teeth grinding, poor stress management
